Who is Dark Favor?
Dark Favor is an Alliance raiding guild on US-Stormrage. Dark Favor was formed as a World of Warcraft guild in 2010 on US-Durotan, we have recently transferred to Stormrage due to being tired of low population servers. We are a group of players who have been together in one form or another for years, as well as some exceptional newcomers.
Raiding with Dark Favor means being dedicated to your class, your role, and your guild. We expect all our members to be able to come to raids prepared, with full consumables, full knowledge of the fights we plan to take on, and the ability to play exceptionally well when we are trying to kill the big dragon. We like to have fun during our raids, but if you're not taking the time to be prepared, you're hurting all of us.
Dark Favor does not condone or encourage any kind of drama. We expect our members to conduct themselves in a respectful and adult fashion both inside and outside of our raids. When you carry our tag, you represent us as a guild, you must maintain a respectful and tolerant demeanor to your fellow guild mates and those not inside the guild. We want to maintain a good relationship with our server and expect our members to do their best to continue to do so.
Dark Favor uses a combination system of Loot Council and /random. We ask for links of currently equipped gear for Main Spec/Off Spec denomination and then proceed with /random. If we see any abuse of players rolling on gear that would be a vastly superior upgrade to others in the raid team, we expect our raiders to keep the overall benefit of the raid team in mind. If players are considered to be abusing their rolls, they will be addressed by the Officers present in the raid.
On progression content, the guild bank will help provide repair costs. We can't always supply everything you will need so you still have to provide some of your own consumables but if asked in advance we will try to regularly stock specialty consumables for our raiders. Many of our members will freely donate when they can to fellow members which we highly encourage.
We want our active raid members to be able to maintain very close to 100% attendance with us. We depend on each of our raiders and it's expected (barring unforeseen events and emergencies) that when you will not be present to post on our forums or inform an officer ahead of time as time allows. We understand that real life from time to time can cause players to take an extended break from the game. We like to be kept informed about those kinds of situations. It will be exceedingly rare that we ever push the raid beyond the finishing time and when we we do it is never more then 30 minutes.
Our Raid Times
Tuesday - Thursday and Sunday (10:00pm - 12:00 am Tues, Wed and Thurs , 10:00pm - 1:00am Sunday)
We never run past our maximum finish time and we never add any mandatory extra nights during progression. All of our raids include a 5 minute break from time to time. Invites generally begin 15 minutes before the start of raid. Older content, alt runs and achievement runs are generally saved for before or after normal raid times or once current content is on farm.
